Married (2) MARILYN BISHOP

Crossville Chronicle, May 21, 1925 -- Monday afternoon Paul, the two year old son of Mr. & Mrs. Ben H. West, narrowly escaped serious injury or death by being run over by an auto that his mother was driving.  Mrs. West was slowly backing the car and the little boy was leaning against the car door, which suddenly flew open, letting the child fall to the ground on his face.  Mrs. West made a grab for the child but failed to get hold of him and in her excitement did not get the car stopped until a front wheel had passed over the body of the child at his hips.  Doctors were summoned and a careful examination revealed no broken bones or other injury.  Before midnight the child seemed to have entirely recovered and by Tuesday all possible ill effects seem to have vanished.
